The single crowd, Gods chosen?

Hey guys and gals! I will not be talking about books today. Yes I know, very sad right? Let me start off by saying I am 24 and have yet to go on my first date.  I want this blog to be an encouragement to those of you who are single, whether by choice or because it is not ur time yet.

Paul said it, "To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is well for them to remain single as I do" in the beginning of 1 Corinthians chapter 7; 8-9.  For some this idea is fine, the prospect of remaining single does not concern them. For others the idea is scary.  Which is correct? Is it better to stay single and focus on God or to get married and have your attention divided?  Can a person truly give all of themselves if they are divided between a mate and God?  Paul continues by saying  "But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to be aflame with passion."  I think every person has to figure out that answer for themselves.  There is no one solution for everyone. God has called some to be single, and have prepared a husband, or wife for u guys out there,  for others.  To the ones who are like me and desire to find the person God has planned, I think it is important to let God use us in our singleness. God has a purpose for us while we are not in relationships. I believe he  wants us to focus on the love affair he has with us as his people. It is easy to forget that God not only has love for us as a father, but also as a groom for his bride.  Let us not get distracted from the fact that this was why we were created, to have a relationship with God. If we wait upon him, and focus on doing his will, he will bring the person for us in his timing. I know it can be hard while waiting, but God's will and plan is perfect. May God Bless you and your family!r

The Hunger game trilogy

I just finished reading The Mockingjay last night.  I enjoyed these books, though I don't usually go for the fantasy books. I thought all three were written well.I liked reading the second two more then the first because I knew the lingo and could follow the story easier.  The characters were well developed, though sometimes I found myself not liking Katniss. Then she would do something that would redeem herself.  I don't know ow Collins came up with everything that she did. I was constantly surprised by the new and creative ways she killed off her characters.  I didn't like all the gore though, I don't think she needed to be quite so descriptive with the blood and guts. The story line was was very well thought out and delivered well. The romance between Katniss Gale and Peeta gave the story the depth and emotion it needed. As well as the love Katniss and Prim shared.

Not wanting to give to much away I will give a a short overview of the basic story line. Set in the aftermath of the apocalypses the books follow the life of Katniss a sixteen year old girl who is forced to fight for her survival  against others in a life or death game where there can only be one winner.thrown in for good measure is a love triangle a corrupt government and the bond two sisters have. All leading up to a surprising ending. definitely worth Reading. alright until the next book! God Bless!

Dee Henderson

greetings! It has been quite some time. Well life is good, be praying for me and my job situation.  in the process of finding something.

today I will spotlight an author not a book.  Dee Henderson...I love her books. This lady  is responsible for the hundreds  of dollars Worth of books I have spent over the years. She was the first author I fell in love with. The first book of hers that I read set off a long love affair with reading. She is a christian  suspense/romance writer.m  Her books are so amazing because she creates characters that are very realistic, and true to life.  her books deliver powerful action scenes without being overly violent.  The romance portion are equally intriguing but never cross the line into inappropriate. There are a few series and some stand alone novels.   The O'Malley series is the story of a unconventional
family and  telling the story of the journey to salvation in their lives. There is a series that follows service men and women and the struggles they face in their lives, this is the uncommon heroes trilogy. She lists all her books on her web page which can be found at www.deehenderson.com  If u have problems with this link let me know.  She hasn't written anything new in awhile. I have been trying to keep track of her websites updates. However if u haven't read anything by her you will have enough to keep u occupied while we wait with baited breath as we wait for her next book. Hope u like enjoy her books as much or more then I do...God Bless!  Anna
